Can I send my mother to drug/alcohol rehab?
Another thing is that she lost her job so that has made the situation a little worse, but my dad and I have been there for her as much as possible. Its understandable at times, but the mixture of drugs and alcohol is getting out of hand.My family and I are very concerned about my mother and how many drugs she is taking along with alcohol. She has many types of drugs she is taking, pain killers from many different doctors , antidepresants, and many others for diabetes and many other health issues. We are worried that she is taking much more than is perscribed by the doctor, then she drinks until she is drunk while taking these medications. She is pretty much a zombie daily and my father and I don't like seeing her that way. She can not go a day without taking her pain medication, which she probably is in pain, but is taking more than she is supposed to. She has told me in the last couple of days that she has been driving down the wrong sinde of the road and while on the interstate could not stay in one lane, it is very concerning, as she could hurt herself and others. I have been trying to research rehab centers and weather myself or my father could admit her. She jokes about oh well if i die you will have plenty of money from life insurace, which is not funny at all as id rather have my mother around than getting money. I am very concerned for her safety and her health. The other day she couldnt figure out how to start her vehicle and I had to get off work to pick her up. If someone could get me some info and how to deal with this and if we are able to admit her to a rehab center without her concent? She doesnt think she has a problem when we have discussed it with her. Please help, thank you

Boyfriend in cenikor rehab, would like to know of any personal experience regarding drug/alcohol rehab ?
My boyfriend has been at Cenikor rehab for a month now. Its a 2 yr long rehab facility and so far I haven't got any letters from him eventhough he was able to send me one 2 weeks ago. He did manage to sneak call me for Thanksgiving and I wonder if he got in trouble for it. I'm also worried about him developing a romance at the facility since it Coed and he won't be able to seem me till February. I just need to know about any one who has knowledge about rehab ...what goes on and what to expect. I feel like I'm being punished. P.s. I known this Guy for 7 yrs before he had an alcohol problem but I just became his gf 4 months ago. I'm the one who got him detox and to convince him he needed help. I just need to know what he's going through and possibly reasons why I haven't heard from him.

Question about working in a drug/alcohol rehab center?
About a year ago, my brother died from a heroin overdose. It has destroyed my family and ever since then I've wanted to work in a drug alcohol rehab center so that I can help other people save their lives before it is taken by drugs like my brother's was. I'm now a freshman in college and I figured my best bet was to major in psychology. I have a few questions regarding working in a rehab center.What exactly would my title be? I'm assuming I would be considered a drug councellor? I want to work directly with the patients and help them recover.That being said, is psychology the right field?And finally, what's it like working in a rehab center? I imagin it will beb very depressing and sressful but I'm so determined to help others recover from addiction. I wish every day that my brother was strong enough to recover.Thanks for all the answers

I was so physically sick with head cold flu, and would not actually I COULD NOT SLEEP with the lady they put in the room because she snored SOOO LOUD. I was thrown out of the facility, I was so sick, they had been giving me all kinds of knockout drugs, I had no shoes, no money they didn't have or couldn't find their key for the locker where my personal belongings including my wallet that contained some money . They actually locked me out when I was or so I was led to believe there for help with my alcoholism. This was in 2001. In 2006 they started billiing me for this so called stay I want to report this as my response to their bill for their " services" . Any ideas anyone?

They actually locked me out when I was or so I was led to believe there for help with my alcoholism. This was in 2001. In 2006 they started billiing me for this so called stay I want to report this to some State Authority that will take this type of therapy and put a stop to it. I was shocked they would even consider billing me for their " services" . Any ideas anyone?
